Visiting our Website
DHL is committed to preserving the privacy of users of our websites. When you visit our web pages, The following data are collected: IP address. Temporary storage of this data is necessary during your visit to the website in order to allow the website to be delivered to you. Further storage in log files is performed to ensure the functionality of the website and the security of our IT systems. Types of data we process
We only process your personal data when required for a specific and allowed purpose. Identification data (i.e.: IP address). An Internet Protocol (IP) address is the unique identifying number assigned to every device connected to the internet. An IP address definition is a numeric label assigned to devices that use the internet to communicate.
DHL offers you an improved user experience on this website by integrating Bing Maps as part of shipment tracking and location search.
Location search: you can use the Station Finder on this website to search for the location of our stations, which are displayed on a Bing Maps map.
We use Bing Maps from Microsoft Corporation (One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA) to display the map. The following data are transmitted to Microsoft for this purpose:
- Referrer (address of the page where Bing Maps is used)
- IP address of the user
- The browser used and browser preferences such as browser size and resolution, browser plugins, date, language setting
Only the search address entered by the user is passed on during the location search. There is no link or storage between the search input and the user.
Processing of personal data due to the use of Bing Maps and information obtained through Bing Maps is subject to the Microsoft Bing Maps and MapPoint Web Service End User Terms of Use and Embedded Maps Service Terms of Use.
